This happens in presence of a conflicted configuration. It is important that, when in Mackie Control mode, the DAW takes exclusivity of the communication port. After all, in MCU, button commands are just notes used by the protocol itself; that’s why you may listen sounds if not properly configured.
In Logic Pro, please double check that you have only one Logic Control surface fonfigured and that it uses the same MIDI port you’re using in Control (eg. Session 1 or BT).
In other DAWs disable the midi input for the port you’re using for the surface control.
